Trade in your traditional lobster roll for an artisanal Maine crab roll this summer. The only question is, are you team butter or team mayo?

INGREDIENTS

Yield: 6 servings

  • 1 pound Maine Crabmeat
  • 3 celery stalks, sliced finely
  • 1 C mayo
  • 6 hot dog buns (brioche if you’re feeling fancy)
  • 50 grams Siberian caviar (optional)
  • Squeeze of lemon (optional)

PREPARATION

Step 1

Thaw crabmeat upside down in the fridge. Once thawed, lightly shred crab meat. Combine with sliced celery.

Step 2

Add mayo and stir for even coating.

Step 3

Warm buns on a griddle with butter. For a summery experience, place on the grill instead for a quick toast.

Step 4

Pile on the crab mix, finish with lemon, caviar, or paprika.
