Carabineros prawns are coveted and large deep-sea prawns that hail from Spain. This wild-caught jumbo prawn is extremely versatile and should be treated as a delicate lobster. Shipping Information

All orders are shipped via UPS Next Day Air. If a future delivery date is chosen, your order will ship the day before the selected date. If an order is placed after cutoff (2pm ET), your order will ship the next available shipping day. For example, orders placed after 2pm ET on Thursday will ship on the following Monday for Tuesday delivery.  Our shipping department is closed Friday-Sunday.  We do not offer Saturday or Monday delivery.

Spike

When I received the shrimp, I started thawing them because I planned to eat them raw. However, I noticed that many of the shrimp heads were black, so I decided to cook them. Unfortunately, the shrimp meat tasted very fishy, and I spit it out after one bite. I ended up not eating any shrimp from the entire box.

Hi Hao - I'm so sorry to hear that, thank you for letting us know about the spoilage! I am happy to refund the order or reship the product next week. Just let me know your preference. Carabineros and other prawns can sometimes have darkness/blackness due to oxidation of melanin in their shell. It is harmless though not aesthetically pleasing!

Carabineros prawn

Shrimp packaging was smashed from the ice packs. The shrimp was not fresh and fishy. When cooked, the shrimp was mushy and falls apart.

The most wonderful experience in my life with shrimp. Very fresh. I prepared them grilled, lightly poached for a sushi roll ingredient, and as an ingredient for udon noodle soup. Call me crazy but I like checking out the options on your products.
