The prized toro represents only about 1/5 of the sellable Bluefin, making it rarer than the loin. As Maine Bluefin Tuna are wild, fat content varies by fish and by cut, influenced by season, size, and portion available.
Bluefin is the largest and fattiest of the tuna family, with deep cherry-red flesh and the firm texture of raw steak. In summer, we source only responsibly caught fish from Maine and Nova Scotia, harvested by line and harpoon under strict quota regulations. Each tuna is graded on-site using a sashibo—a precision Japanese probe that evaluates color, visible fat, and texture—to ensure peak quality.
Ideal for sashimi or searing on the grill, Maine Bluefin Toro delivers the rich, buttery taste and mouthfeel of a premium fatty steak.

Suggested serving sizes:
Whole fish: 1 lb. of raw fish per person when serving fish whole.
Filleted fish: 6-8oz of raw fish per person when serving filleted fish.
Shipping Information
All orders are shipped via UPS Next Day Air. If a future delivery date is chosen, your order will ship the day before the selected date. If an order is placed after cutoff (2pm ET), your order will ship the next available shipping day. For example, orders placed after 2pm ET on Thursday will ship on the following Monday for Tuesday delivery. Our shipping department is closed Friday-Sunday. We do not offer Saturday or Monday delivery.
