Our Finnan Haddie is back! Thank you for your patience as we restocked. It has been a long time coming.

For those that need a refreshing, we had an electrical fire on April 16th, 2020. Mind you, this was a few short weeks after adjusting for covid demand. Because our smoke room received the most damage, our smoked products paused. In fact, it took over a year for our state-of-the-art smoker to be specially built in Europe, which had many stops due to local pandemic regulation shutdowns. Then, it took over a month to ship by boat. After finally arriving to Portland in December 2021, we completed construction around the smoker, passed inspection, and finished test batches. After restocking our world famous Scotch and Traditional Smoked Salmon, our smoke master could restart the Finnan Haddie program. Almost two years later, Finnan Haddie is here.

The freshest Gulf of Maine haddock is filleted skin-on and lightly brined in natural sea salts. The fillets are then smoked until they become a golden brown. Prepared to a timeless Scottish tradition, our Finnan Haddie is handcrafted by our smoke master.
Excellent in sauces, stews, chowders, and for traditional Cullen Skink.

We make all of our Finnan Haddie in our boutique smokehouse, located in Portland, ME. Our smoke master cures, brines, smokes, skins, and packages by hand in small batches for high quality and consistently outstanding smoked haddock.
Did you know that smoked fish has a long shelf life? Sealed smoked fish lasts several weeks in the fridge and frozen smoked fish lasts a few months!
