Conservas de Cambados Percebes in Brine offer a true taste of the Atlantic. Harvested by hand from wave-battered coastal rocks, these prized gooseneck barnacles are known for their bold, pure ocean flavor and unique texture.
Lightly preserved in brine to maintain their natural character, they deliver a clean, intensely briny profile balanced by subtle sweetness.
Serve simply to highlight their rarity—enjoy straight from the tin, with a squeeze of lemon, or as a standout addition to a refined seafood spread.
Percebes are a species of barnacles that grow in cold water along tidal rocks. Harvesting them is a difficult and dangerous feat: while some barnacles can be stripped from the rocks by hand during low tide, others require a diver armed with a pry bar. Depending on availability, we also offer live Percebes sourced from the Iberian Peninsula.
Conservas de Cambados Percebes are hand harvested and packed whole in brine. You can expect a flavor and texture reminiscent of razor clams. They are not shucked prior to packing, so have a seafood fork on hand to extract the meat, and a glass of wine to go with it.
