After the applause from our Smoked Sea Trout Roe, we experimented smoking our own salmon roe. Laid out in trays and smoked briefly at a low temperature with apple and hickory wood, our Smoked Salmon Roe stands as the richer counterpart to our highly popular smoked sea trout roe. Both are hand crafted in small batches right here in our Portland, Maine facility.
Picture perfect in a brilliant orange, our Smoked Salmon Roe is an innovative twist to your typical salmon roe. These large pearls contain a strong cured flavor that finishes with a hit of smoke after the firm, satisfying “pop” on your palate.
