Browne Trading takes great pride in purchasing only the best North Atlantic halibut available. These fish arrive fresh to Browne, with an average weight ranging from 30 to 60 pounds each. The largest of the flatfish family, halibut has both eyes on its dark green/ brown topside. The blind underside is pearly white.
Thick and meaty, halibut has flaky white fillets that are excellent when baked, broiled, steamed, sautéed, or on the grill - even as kebabs.
- Wild Harvest Region: North Atlantic Maine and Canada - May-October
- Farmed Harvest Region: Norway - Winter months, depending on availability
Suggested serving sizes:
Whole fish: 1 lb. of raw fish per person when serving fish whole.
Filleted fish: 6-8oz of raw fish per person when serving filleted fish.
Shipping Information
All orders are shipped via UPS Next Day Air. If a future delivery date is chosen, your order will ship the day before the selected date. If an order is placed after cutoff (2pm ET), your order will ship the next available shipping day. For example, orders placed after 2pm ET on Thursday will ship on the following Monday for Tuesday delivery. Our shipping department is closed Friday-Sunday. We do not offer Saturday or Monday delivery.
