Calling all Spanish food lovers. Browne Trading sources these hard-to-come-by baby squid from Galicia waters and for good reason. Their miniature size and delicate manner make them extremely unique and hard to find in the US.
Though small, chipirones are a great way to add high quality protein and Meditterranean flavor to your diet. Stuff with breading for bite-sized tapas, fry and plate on pasta, or grill and top on an antipasti salad.
If available, they are typically sold marinated and tinned. Not at Browne Trading - we carry untouched, individually quick frozen chipirones - naturally ready for all of your preparations. They do require feathering - removing the long bone and any ink sacs.
Browne's commitment to sourcing specialty products such as these chipirones started back in 1991 when Rod Browne Mitchell shipped live jumbo scallops directly to the best New York chefs and continues today with weekly importation of Spanish and Portuguese seafood.
Shipping Information
All orders are shipped via UPS Next Day Air. If a future delivery date is chosen, your order will ship the day before the selected date. If an order is placed after cutoff (2pm ET), your order will ship the next available shipping day. For example, orders placed after 2pm ET on Thursday will ship on the following Monday for Tuesday delivery. Our shipping department is closed Friday-Sunday. We do not offer Saturday or Monday delivery.
